And the star was born...

I promise I won't forget it. She had settled up old accounts, though some other ones were still pending. And she knew it; nobody knew it better than her. She had to come back, so she took her time, and her no-time, sheltered in her endless space, and programmed a life. Wrote her script, chose her parents, ordered her duty, swore to choose the truth. And when finally spelled "THE END", was ready to start.

Saying goodbye to her friends wasn't so hard then. She knew she'd be back someday; besides she'd find them down too. Went over her script one last time. "I promise I won't forget" screamed out, while the air started getting thick, and that world of light was slowly dying.

The darkness covered her. Little by little got entangled with that viscous, warm, sticky substance, which grew and grew till suffocate her. That would be her prison during the journey.

"I know, I promise I won't forget it".

The space was getting smaller. She noticed the warm water through the only pair of windows. And that little drum, beating fast; faster and faster... There's no more space, something is pushing me and I remember the fear. That awful fear. Had a premonition of a narrow tunnel, and a clear brilliance there, in its end. She fought to get there. The little drum almost burst in a dreadful shout.

"It's a girl" said the doctor, holding her feet. The baby girl cries, everybody celebrate. Nobody knows my pain. Only sometimes, hardly ever, I've got the feeling that I'm following the script. It's when love appears on my face, and the smile doesn't leave. And the windows sparkles.

Anyway, never mind how much I try, I can't remember the promise... Nevertheless, my intuition tells me that it has much to do with the choice of truth.-
